Cotton canvas and polyester ripstop canvas
- Cotton canvas: the traditional heavy woven canvas. It breathes, has a natural look and feel, and suits tents, canopies, awnings, bags and covers.
- Polyester ripstop canvas: woven with thicker threads in a grid, so a small nick does not run into a long tear. Polyester does not absorb water the way cotton does.

Three weights: 300gsm, 420gsm and 510gsm
Canvas weight is given in gsm (grams per square metre). The higher the number, the heavier and thicker the cloth. We stock 300gsm, 420gsm and 510gsm. Tell us what you are making and we will help you choose the weight.
